Leiden University does not want to give Maria Avaguimova a new contract. They literally want to kick her out for 6 months and then rehire her to avoid having to give her a permanent contract.

BUT: It is very unlikely to find a teacher who even comes close to being as good as her for that period. She is the best solution for us, the students, and Leiden University, the institution. Maria is very enthusiastic about teaching us and it is her dream job.

We are more than student numbers, who they treat like balls and throw us around. We deserve the best solution and this is, in this case, clearly Maria. We do not want a new teacher, who is not used to us, especially as swopping teachers is extremely counterproductive when learning and teaching languages.

So please sign this petition to show Leiden University that they can't treat us like their toys and keep Maria as our lovely Russian teacher. Besides that, we want Maria to get a permanent contact. Maria did a lot for us and Leiden University and deserves it.
