We as a year group would like to see the removal of The LOOP Reflect project from our final year grading. In the time we are in student teachers are being used as substitutes, this is taking up significant time used for planning and creating resources. In our final year in DCU our workload is both tremendous and ridiculous, We have new schemes of work, new lesson plans, subbing during a pandemic which has seen many of our classmates contracting Covid-19 adding additional stress to final year placement. During our placement period we are also being asked to complete two chapters of PBRP and now we have an additional loop reflect project that no other year group in B.Rel.Ed history nor DCU  education undergrad history so why now and why us. This is offensive to our year group and it will be changed. We are tired of the famous “Teaching Council Requirements”‘excuse for the workload becoming more and more each year, we know and you know that this is not the case as why have no other PME or undergraduates been asked to complete meaningless tasks and requirements like we have.
