21 time Grammy Winner Kanye West is a musical juggernaut in today’s music industry, with an impressive discography spanning 9 solo albums it’s easy to see why people call him the GOAT. 

Now cut to 2017 XXL Freshman Playboi Carti, truly an innovative new artist. While he has only released 2 full length records, he has accumulated millions of fans since his breakout singles like Broke Boi and Magnolia. In 2018 he released his debut commercial album Die Lit which received critical praise, and could even be considered a crucial album of the last decade by some.

While these two artist may not have too much in common both have dedicated fans who just want to hear more from than, and an easy to hear more from them would be for them to cover each other’s albums. My personal favorite Kanye album is The Life of Pablo, his experimental “gospel” album is just a whole lot of fun to listen through, and Die Lit is undeniably Carti’s best album, it beautifully minimalistic sound is just a delight. While it may be an odd move, you can’t deny you’d be entertained, to imagine Kanye rapping on tracks like Flatbed Freestyle or Shoota, or how Carti reciting I Love Kanye would go. While I’m pretty positive this is impossible, you’d love to see it.
