There are no plans to build the original Avoriaz halfpipe this winter.

I struggle to see any valid reasons for this.
Il n'y a pas assez de bonnes raisons pour ceci. 

-This is a huge attraction for the resort being the only pipe in France during the winter and which could be a huge advantage from a marketing point of view.
C'est le seul pipe en France pendant l'hiver - grand attire de la station!

-Local and foreign clubs/national teams come here to train.
Les équipes locales et nationales utilisent le pipe pour s'entrainer. 

-We have the pipe cutter and the skilled shapers to build it.
Nous avons la machine et les shapeurs avec le talent pour y construire.
