Dane Gubb started this petition to Avalon Airport Australia Pty Ltd and

Passenger Boeing 747s are quickly disappearing from the skies around the world. The iconic queen of the skies is loved by all aviation enthusiasts and the aircraft has opened up Australia to the world. The 747-300 sitting at Avalon has a lot of potentials and can be converted into a museum for all the aviation enthusiasts in Victoria and Australia to enjoy. This specific 747 variant, the 747-300, was a very uncommon type of the jumbo jet and to this day there are none of them in museums or being preserved.

The 747-300 at Avalon Airport was also a very special aircraft in its previous life for Qantas. It wore the Nalanji Dreaming livery and was the only 747 to wear it. Opening up a museum at Avalon with the 747 will mean a lot to all of us aviation enthusiasts around Australia and it will also put the plane back into good use.
