UNESCO has recommended to set up authority for coaching classes in India. It’s not only necessary but also inevitable. Here, It is pertinent to explain why authority is necessary. The education system in India is in the back seat, government schools are failed to provide quality education due to lack of resources whereas private schools are engaged in generating max revenue at any cost. So your subject either in private school or in govt school you must have to avail coaching classes or tuition for them. Not a single stream in India is free from coaching, there are coaching classes for LKG to IAS exam. It is a business of several million dollars. However, coaching classes are a service provider but they cheat students and parents at every step. Most of the coaching do not fulfil their commitment what they said at the time of admission. If a mobile company cut a single penny or they do not provide what they said, we take every single step against them what we could do. But, against coaching, we ignore even after paying several thousand. For example, we pay several thousand for IAS classes but no coaching complete the syllabus. Most of the coaching claimed that they are no. 1 who recognise them. I can not understand. There should be a proper management authority for them to check their arbitrary behaviour. In pamphlets of coaching there are a number of promises and evaluation methodology but in reality ……
Coaching classes lack grievance redressal cell for students. They are engaged in giving direction for our future generations. They will make our demographic dividend into a demographic nightmare and blunt if we failed to manage them. Not a single economic activity is more important than our students. Without them, we can not become a global leader and all strategies will become “Macaulay declaration”. There are a number of steps to make a person to the Human resource. One of them and rudimentary is these coaching classes. Perhaps, Not a single district exist in India which does not have coaching classes. In a new trend, after increasing awareness about education, rural people want to provide education to their subject So mushroom culture is on increasing in rural areas as well. In some cases, people are aware of their rights but the high cost of justice and long judiciary procedure act as precursors for them. This authority will provide a quick grievance redressal mechanism and will regulate these classes. So we have to take action not now, then never.
