The facts for the mandatory roll over bars are wrong. They do not need to be added and are available for any body to buy if they wish, they should not be forced apon every body else.

Rural Australia have not been consulted regarding the new QUAD BIKE legislation. This legislation will result in no new QUAD bike being available for sale in Australia. The QUAD bike is an essential part of day to day work on rural properties. Are the statistics accurate? I feel they should be reviewed and Rural Australia should be consulted regarding their interpretation.
Also the cost of the modifications to the QUAD bikes would mean most farmers would be unable to afford them. As farmers we often have several of these QUAD bikes and are already struggling financially as a result of droughts, fire or flooding. It is essential for this legislation to be changed as the QUAD BIKE is an absolutely essential part of the daily activities of almost every farmer and rural Australian's activities. Safety is paramount to farmers and education on how to ride QUAD bikes would be a much more effective way to improve safety with riding QUAD BIKES.
