Save the pigeon from the death

I had come across a news item in The Hindu vide
where it had been reported that a poor racing pigeon had unknowingly crossed the Pacific ocean (13000 kilometers) to reach Australia where the authorities are thinking to kill it suspecting that since it is from USA, it may carry virus.
It is a pity that we have not learn lesson still even after Covid 19. When we have no right to create we have no right to destroy. This is what nature thought and sent Covid 19. If you cannot provide asylum to the poor bird, send it back to the USA. Or test it thoroughly for any virus or disease and if found clean be proud to provide asylum to the poor bird.
Please remember that killing or culling is not the solution always!
