I feel disappointed and outraged that Novak Djokovic has been granted permission to play Australian open in-spite of remaining unvaccinated. Sportspersons especially someone like Djokovic who is admired on a global level should adhere to a higher standard.

I really hoped that he would vaccinate and show up as this is a very important tournament. I’m not sure what kind of a message is the Australian open trying to send, this decision would only encourage similar individuals(unvaccinated) bending the rules and putting other people in danger. We have already lost many people who could have been saved if there wasn’t such stigma and misinformation about vaccines.

I guess when you are rich and famous, you will get away with anything.
