Stop the Australian Shark Cull

Each year, the Australian government kills sharks using baited hooks and shark nets, all in an attempt to prevent shark attacks. However, culling actually increases shark attacks by drawing sharks closer to shore, which are aggressive sharks eager for new territory. Great white sharks, a protected species, are targeted, as well as bull sharks and tiger sharks. However, thousands of rays, sea turtles, and dolphins are also caught. Some drum lines are located in the Great Barrier Reef, threatening the biodiversity there. Tell Australia to stop the culling and use eco-friendly alternatives like Shark Spotters and Eco Barriers.
