Its only fair that people who have applied for 143 and still waiting since 2016 get the visa already. 4/5 years is a huge wait for processing.

It is unreasonable to have sponsored parents to wait 5+ years to get permanent visa. Most of them are old, plus 10 more years for post-PR when they can receive pension eventually but you never know if they actually have that day, not even mentioning they have to pay a lot of money upfront. There could be mean and evil reasons behind this but it should never be like this. Also if they are stuck in Australia due to COVID, they have to renew their tourist visa repeatedly and each time the cost is getting more and more. These people have been purposely ignored

Because it is unjust for the people who are now settled and part of Australian nation that the parents in old age are too far away from them.

My parents have been waiting for around 9 years and they are both over 70, unfortunately as per current policy, there’re still many years to go. There has to be something we can make a change to this. That’s why I sign this petition.
