Did you realize that you or someone in your family might be eating man-made arsenic?

Rice has higher levels of inorganic arsenic than other foods, in part because as rice plants grow, the plant and grain tend to absorb arsenic more readily than other food crops. Long-term exposure to high levels of arsenic is associated with higher rates of skin, bladder, and lung cancers, as well as heart disease. Exposure to arsenic  may contribute to reduced brain functioning in children.

Please support this petition to ask the Australian Institute of Food Standards to make it mandatory to label arsenic  content in rice and rice containing products.

Thank you for signing and sharing this petition.
