On average, 1 Australian woman is killed every week by her partner or former partner, compared to the 113 Australians killed due to terrorism since 1978. Overall, funding to fight terrorism in Australia includes $34.6 billion, while the budget for domestic violence only receives $199.5 million over 4 years. This needs to change and to do this we need to attract the attention of the Australian Government to increase funding to protect women and their families from domestic violence.
