Organ Donation Opt-Out System Policy Change
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
The introduction of this policy change will mean that the 1600 people who are on the Organ Donation waiting list at any time will be granted more opportunity to receive the life-saving organs they so desperately need. To become an Organ donor you need to sign up with the use of a Medicare card and the next-of-kin has the veto if there comes a situation in which organ donation is a possibility. We wish to change the policy so that all Australians are registered organ donors unless they wish otherwise and next-of-kin does not receive veto as this is where 27% of parental figures decide for their children not to be organ donors on their behalf.
