This is the Parents NEXT program in NSW. Centerlink sends automated text appointment time to client to go face to face appointment. Caseworker does not know this appointment exist as centerlink does not tell caseworker that appointment is created for them, so when client goes to this appointment caseworker is not there. Then when parents next client payment is on hold or cut by centerlink when client calls to speak with case worker to reinstate payment, case worker is not available or does not return the calls. When caseworker of parents next knows they have appointment with client for EG: appointment is at 9am. Caseworker will either not be available for this appointment and send another caseworker to do their job. IF it is a phone appointment. Caseworker will call at 2 pm instead of 9 am where 9am is the actual appointment time and they will call with a private number on their mobile phone and ring only 3 rings so the parents next client does not know who has called even though the client did receive the mobile number from centerlink, from the parents next organisation and the client isn't able to answer the phone. The caseworker expects the client to be stuck to their mobile phone 24/7 for a set appointment time. The case worker then marks down that the client didn't answer the phone and then they get their payment cut. When it is activities that parents next clients needs to attend , centerlink and caseworker does not provide the client with the address of the location of where to do this said activity so clients do not know where to go, when they call to find out where to go, the caseworker does not respond to their call. Clients are also told to go to activites which are far away from where they live making it difficult for parents with children to attend. When there is appointments face to face and parents have arranged babysitters and paid money for transport , and they attend their appointments, caseworker is not available to see them. When caseworkers know they have to call clients as they receive many emails telling them to call their client, they are having their own meetings, pretending to work by speaking to their family and friends on their work telephone instead of calling their clients. This is the Parents NEXT program designed to make parents life difficult and it should be abolished. Parents who have young children should not deal with this harassment from the Australian government because they need financial assistance.

as a 20yr old single mother who exited the workforce in October 2020 to care for my child and complete full time study, I have been listed as a compulsory candidate for this ridiculous program. I already study full time and I already have a plan in place (currently in motion) to return to the workforce when and if I can afford to do so. Their intervention in this is completely unnecessary and ridiculous, I don’t need the help and if i did, I would have asked for it.

I am signing this very important petition and I am very grateful I have been made aware of this scheme as to help find constructive immediate and sustainable solutions for the at risk children and women of this country, saying this I strongly feel un fair coercion in any form is completely unacceptable especially when implicating a privacy waiver and potential loss of support for at risk women and children, I also strongly recommend that each client should be dealt with on a case by case basis not 1 program fits all as unwarranted stress on at risk women and children sends an unjust ripple effect through society which cost is simply unmeasurable, I have faith that a just and positive solution will be found immediately, forcing anyone to do anything via subtle threats of loss of basic income is un morale and simply wrong, in a country full of abundance and opportunity I strongly recommend giving time, humanity, passion and care to each client and be cared for as an individual not a number, Parents Next and other job related schemes should have said morale's at the for front of the business model not target and commission based this leads to inhumane treatment of said clients and unwarranted outcomes, I strongly believe that this scheme should also target the men and fathers in these situations as solely putting pressure on the women is wrong and should be equally the mans responsibility to support the women and children. Thank you for your time and good will.

I was entered into the program without them even consulting me or sending me a letter informing me that I had to start reporting my income. I dont earn any income so why the hell do i need to report every 2 weeks?
