My mum died at 49, leaving my 20yo brother and I, only 24 at the time. Her ovarian cancer was picked up during a routine smear when it was to late, meaning she has missed out on weddings and grandkids and seeing her children succeed. Funding is needed to research this awful disease so families are not having to face the same devastating results of a late diagnosis.
