Equal Work, Equal pay!
Equal Work, Equal pay!
Equal pay is considering and comparing the wage that both genders earn. In some cases they both earn the same amount, but in other situations men get paid more simply because of the body he was born into. This is not only injustice, but also unfair as both genders have the same capabilities inside and outside the office.
This issue has always been a problem but just has worsened or improved. In 1912 women’s minimum wage was set at 54% of men’s wages. It then improved in 1950 to 75%. Although we are not denying the fact that the state has made progress over the years we are focusing on the fact that we still have a long way to go. Yes, we have gotten better through the past and present but we are talking about the future and present and how women are still being discriminated against because of their gender!
