Change Legislation for ACMA

The Australian Governement has a loophole. The organization Australian Communications and Media Authority are in control of all media in Australia.
They investigate complaints from consumers about the decency and accuracy of media broadcasts on television and radio, however they do not have jurisdiction over Social media from these media companies.
Some years ago, many will remember the Big Brother Turkey Slapping incident that took place. The media did not show the footage on tv as this would breach the guidelines, however they did post it online as they know theyre out of the reach of the law.
Today, channel 7 posted a status on Facebook about the "Disgusting" ANZAC events that two gay bars are holding. They have allowed people to write hateful comments about the Gay community online without deleting the comments or post.
The laws state that the media must be fair. And are not allowed to target a particular group. I found through my own research online other clubs that are straight doing a similar thing. In fact one club had a event called "G.I Joe and Hoes"
This was not mentioned in their post.
I have personally spoken to the communications minister who has agreed the law needs to be changed and now we need your help. We need people to sign the petition to have the government close the loophole to allow the ACMA to investigate online media within Australia!
