Ask AFL to organise State Of Origin match for bushfire victims

Australia has experienced a torturous five months, resulting in widespread bushfires that have decimated over 6.3 million hectares of land.

Half a billion animals have perished. Firefighters and people protecting homes have lost their lives.

The impact and devastation has been crippling. Our proud nation is hurting.

Australia's biggest sport can play an integral role in helping raise funds for the affected areas and victims.

The AFL have not played an official State Of Origin game since 2008. Given the difficult circumstances, there's been no better time for the most watched and supported professional code to bring all the clubs and states together to revitalise the format in 2020.

Through the endorsement of the clubs, strong corporate sponsors and the governing body, a one-off or weekend of State Of Origin matches can have a profound impact on fundraising efforts and provide welcome relief to victims of the bushfire tragedy.

By signing this petition you will be helping to put healthy pressure on the AFL to seriously consider this as an option.

Let's unify the states, the supporters and show the AFL how impactful a cause, the State Of Origin could be for those affected.
