Simon Goodwin started this petition to Australian Federal Parliament

The main problem we have in Australia with regard to addressing man made climate change (MMCC) is that public policy changes every 4 years and based on populism rather than long term planning. We need legislation and action over a significant period of time at a national level to have any meaningful positive impact on MMCC

How do we do this?

Establishing, through legislation, a non political policy making body that has the appropriate authority, representation, governance and oversight to create long term, effective, public policy to address and reverse the effects of MMCC.

This body should be made up of scientists, members of the Emergency Services community, members of the business community and members of the public.

Enough is enough. Politics and governance, in its current federal and state form, does not and will not work.

This petition seeks to gain enough support for Canberra and the state governments to take notice and to act in the best, long term, interests of those they serve by establishing such a body.
