Petition Closed

To reconcile our aspirations to stand for right thinking and 'a fair go for all' with our history since 1788, Australians need to acknowledge the wrongs done to Australia's First Peoples. I suggest we do this by marking the day the Australian High Court recognised that Eddie Mabo as having legal title to his property on Mer [Murray] Island, thus over-turning the principle of "Terra Nullius" used to validate the European occupation of indigenous lands.
