This is the year 2013 and finally gamers got the much needed R18+ classification for video games. With the banning of Saints Row IV under this rating the ACB has essentially raised the middle finger to the Australian gamer and adults alike, they are telling us once again what is and what isn't appropriate, this is quite frankly offensive.

The R18+ was created specifically for these games and yet we are now being told this rating doesn't matter one bit. Saints Row is a series that prides itself on over-the-top and cartoonish, anyone with a brain knows its stupid fun. The reason for banning this is archaic and backwards no matter how its spun because its still just a game and we deserve to play it.

If parents don't want their children to play it then thats their responsibilty and that should not affect the casual adult gamer. They can tell us it went against "guidelines" but the fact is it was a person decision but out of touch people living behind the times.

The bottom line is this banning this game isn't to protect a certain group of people or to keep common decency, its an attack on our freedoms to choose and common sense. It is an offensive decision and should be reversed by the will of the Australian people. This game must be released in its original form regardless of its content, its only a game.
