Australia currently has Social Services AGREEMENT with about thirty (30) countries including three (3) countries of Asia (Japan, South Korea and India) that enables Australian naturalised citizens originating from those countries receive their pension benefits in their respective countries of origin.

In the light of that the Australian citizens of Bangladeshi origin are also very much willing to have such an AGREEMENT between Australia and Bangladesh. If could be negotiated, such an AGREEMENT will entitle Bangladeshi origin Australian to receive their pension benefits in Bangladesh along with the comfort of enjoying part of their retired life with their family members, relatives & friends. This will also reduce burden on Australian health service and reduce pressure on housing, transportation and other amenities.

We, the undersigned, appeal to the Australian authorities to open a dialogue with Bangladesh and negotiate such a framework earliest possible.
