While Austin High School is rapidly growing, the parking is limited to a small number. While the school has well over 2,300 students, they are only allowed to park in the main student parking lot, senior lot, and have to compete with those who go onto the lake or hike and bike trail. Because there is such limited parking Austin High students have had to result to parking illegally which is seen as a normal thing. Because of the limited parking, students are punished due to the fact there simply is not enough parking to compete with those who do not attend the school. Therefore, Austin High School students should be allowed to park on both sides of Stephen F Austin Dr.
