One meter from our home is a fifty year old transformer that has been progressively buzzing louder. For the past year, our main bedroom has been uninhabitable due to it’s particularly pronounced noise at night.

Although Ausgrid admit that it’s location is a design flaw, they conducted an acoustic survey last year and deemed it just on the border of ‘acceptable’.

We are a growing family with our second child due in December. We can no longer just avoid this noise by spending our nights sleeping in our baby’s nursery.

‘Acceptable’ or not, the noise this transformer emits is severely impinging on our home.

I ask for your support in this matter by pressuring Ausgrid to move this transformer out beside the road away from any residential dwellings.
