Continuing PI checks and experiential raises at AUMC

One of the major advantages to working at AUMC was our yearly Performance Incentive bonus and experiential raises. We have just been informed that AUMC plans to terminate both these incentives after June of this year. This plan was not discussed previously, or announced in a town hall meeting. This decision, which impacts our finances, was simply sent out in an e-mail, amongst our other dozens of e-mails a day. While they stated a possibility of a raise, it is very vague and not guaranteed. It is also unfair that your date of hire determines whether you will receive a final PI check and raise this year. AUMC just initiated a referral bonus program, which indicates the hospital is having trouble retaining nurses. I am certain this new policy will exacerbate that problem and decrease staff morale. We are the majority in the hospital and we have a voice! If you do not agree with this new policy please sign our petition!
