Help us to re-introduce train lines to Huapai and Kumeu
Help us to re-introduce train lines to Huapai and Kumeu
Auckland Transport's removal of public trains travelling beyond Swanson in 2013, deeply affected our transport to Central Auckland. Since 2013, transport to school has become a difficult task considering the immense traffic that has built up as a result of little public transport.
We are a very small group out of many students who live in West Auckland, and attend Central Auckland schools. We believe this change would have a very positive impact on the community as a whole, especially on students. Alongside making transport easier, this social action coincides with the recent climate emergency declaration made by the Auckland Council. We believe re-introducing the train lines to Huapai would help reduce the amount of carbon emissions. As well as reduce the traffic to West Auckland which has significantly increased in the last few years, especially on the north-western motorway.
