The dress code was made to keep the boys from being distracted by our bodies. this is unacceptable. we should be allowed to wear what we want without having middle aged men and women telling us what we can and can’t do with our money and body. if the boys can’t control themselves from seeing 2 inches of my thigh from my ripped jeans causing me to be sent to the office missing test prep. they should be punished. not me. weather here gets into the 100s and u expect me to wear jeans (no rips) and a shirt (no tank tops). this is OUTRAGEOUS. i will not be told what i can do with my body and my clothes anymore. send me to the office. put me in iss (in school suspension). give me detention. i’m not gonna stand down. and i know a lot of other teenage girls who feel EXACTLY how i feel. enraged and controlled. if i feel that it is too hot wear jeans then i should have the right to wear nike shorts so i don’t have a heat stroke!! i should be able to wear a tank top so i don’t have a heat stroke!! i should be able to wear whatever i want. it should be my choice and i shouldn’t be punished for it.  most of the dress code rules were given by male teachers. if my shoulders. if my thighs. if my butt. if my ANYTHING is distracting a man 2x my age. he’s the problem. not me. not my clothes. him. it should be my choice and i should have to worry about getting sent to the office and missing material i will need to pass. only thing that is distracting me and others from the work is u keeping me from learning and i wont tolerate it anymore. so sign this petition please. for the sake of every female in all grades. thank u♥️
