Since the country has had nationwide protests for the past three weeks, all students have fallen behind schedule. It is the same for everyone — be it AUB, LAU, NDU, USEK, BALAMAND, USJ, AUST, or etc. However, most universities took different measures in hopes of catering to their students academic needs as well as psychological needs. AUB, on the other hand, decided to deprive its students from having reading periods, asking them to sit through their exams without any reading days due to the loss of days in the semester. Not to mention, they’re forcing med students to rent accomodation nearby since the exams won’t be postponed either. All in all, it is completely injust for them to disregard their students’ academic rights because nobody sat home to study; people were heavily involved in the protests to call for a new government. We are petitioning against the injust decision AUB has taken against its community. The students at the very least DESERVE their exams to be postponed.
