There were 45,627 offences involving knives in 2019 alone. There's no denying, knife crime is a growing problem and it is here to stay. 

Now you may think this is a gang problem and may never affect you. You would be wrong. We all need to be worried. That's a fact! 

My son and his friend were set upon at a McDonald's in Bristol and stabbed in an unprovoked, unjustifiable and senseless crime by two youths. They are not gang members, they had in fact just popped in for a bite after a church gathering. The case has been drawn out and ended with the perpetrators being handed suspended sentences and community service (for carrying a knife and using it 6 times in a premeditated attack) REALLY????! WHAT JUSTICE! What does this say to our young people?? Be afraid, be very afraid because you may very well be next, and to those who carry weapons? Is it ok to use them, because the worst you'll get is a slap on the wrist! Because,the ones who will really pay for your crime are the victims and their families. This Cannot, Should not, Absolutely must not be allowed to happen!  No mother should have to receive "that" heart-stopping , stomach churning phonecall. Help me! We need justice for victims of knife crime and NO SUSPENDED SENTENCES for those guilty of knife crimes.
