Being a victim of a crime is horrific and the "compensation" from the fund is not one for the crime, it's for the bills and medical assistance to try and get back to living a normal life. We pay so much taxes on everything and this fund is an important one to keep funding properly.

It is bad enough that Cardinal Pell adopted a rigid and strict system foe his church ( not based on victim needs ) equally as bad a government also lacks the same compassion.
