Because of the shortage of masks and other PPE during this pandemic, the community is taking action and making homemade protection for our health care workers and people in the community that are at risk. The attorney general has decided that these shops are not essential and are closing their doors, saying that people can just shop online. Not everyone who is making the masks has access to online shopping and shipping takes time. When your sewing machine needle breaks, you want to buy a new one as quick as possible. These stores are not overly crowded and it is easy to maintain distance while buying the essential materials to make these life saving masks. Let's be reasonable here. Let these volunteers keep sewing.
