ACC: Move @theACC Baseball Tournament Out of North Carolina
Why this petition matters

The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) has scheduled its 2016 Baseball Championship tournament in North Carolina for May 24-29 at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
This is the second year of a 4-year agreement for the event to be held in Durham. However, in light of the passage of House Bill 2 in North Carolina, which discriminates against North Carolina's LGBT community, it is clear that this event should not take place in The Tar Heel State.
As a South Carolina resident, a Clemson University graduate, and a long time ACC supporter, I remember when the ACC moved its tournament out of South Carolina due to the Confederate Flag that flew on our State House grounds. Now, I am calling on the ACC to send a similarly strong signal of its support to all North Carolinians - just as it has done before - and take this tournament to another state, where all citizens are treated fairly and equally under the law.
(I should note that we would welcome the tournament in South Carolina, now that the Confederate Flag has been removed and our own State Legislature just defeated an anti-LGBT bill that would have discriminated against people here.)
It's time for the ACC to join the businesses of North Carolina - and the NCAA - in standing up to discrimination in any form. Move this tournament out of North Carolina.
