Kids need an adequate amount of sleep for cognitive requirements, mood effects, stress relief and overall good health. Give them a kids more sleep time.

None of the decisions appear to have been made on the basis of any sound research and were presented in a manner that clearly indicates a lack of interest in the consideration of input from the stakeholders that will be affected. Indeed, any possible benefit of additional instructional time is diminished or erased by the manner in which APS is intending to implement it. The pushback to the changes isn't simply a result of an inconvenience to families, it is because these ill advised actions will almost certainly result in harm to the students that APS is entrusted to serve.

It truly is not feasible for some high schoolers who would be required to be at a bus stop by 7am.

Elementary students’ body clock aligns with an earlier start, while high schoolers already have trouble waking up for the later start. This will create a tumultuous start to the day for parents and students.

Not conducive to teens sleep cycles.
