Historic Homes
The zoning changes proposed put 95 historic buildings in jeopardy of demolition and redevelopment. This could cause Ansley Park to lose its National Register of Historic Places designation and, as lots are split up, to lose its historic original design.
Family-Friendly Community
The unit density levels permitted in MR/MU zoning will not produce family-friendly housing. Housing diversity in Midtown Atlanta will suffer.
Trees
The smaller set-backs in MR/MU zoning will result in builders cutting down mature trees, permanently shrinking our tree canopy.
We, the undersigned residents of the City of Atlanta, ask our City Council to vote NO to the proposed zoning ordinances 21-O-0454, 21-O-0455, and 21-O-0456.
