Athlos Academy is an elementary charter school located at 3701 33rd Street South St. Cloud, MN 56301. According to their website, https://athlosstcloud.org Athlos Academy is a unique public charter school that prepares students for success in three ways: mind, body and character. As we begin to celebrate Black history month. There were reports made by concerned parents, students and community members accusing a special education teacher of making a racist comment after an incident between several students "referring Black people to chicken and reasoning why she doesn't eat dark chicken'" This is the third time an incident like this was reported at a community meeting. This is unacceptable and unapologetic. Athlos model is to put teachers first. It is time to put our students first! Our students should feel safe, accepted and proud. What is wrong with being Black? We asked that "Karen be removed from Athlos Academy immediately and indefinitely, We must stand in solidarity with the families and the students impacted by these statements. 1-2-3-4 racist Karen has got to go.
