Jefferson High School needs cheerleading because it is a positive reinforcement. It would give people an opportunity to get a scholarship from cheerleading and it would bring more attention to the school.  Cheerleading would impact everyone in a positive, optimistic way. It would also give the opportunity to meet new people. Cheerleading teaches hard work, perseverance, competitiveness, and teamwork. Plus the underlying qualities of a cheerleader are friendliness, optimism, respectfulness, and accountability, which are all skills that will benefit them in the future. Cheerleaders will often encourage other students to show up for games and participate in school events. Ultimately having cheerleading at Jefferson High School would give prominence to the school.
