I recently began receiving repeated phone calls from a number based in Las Vegas and when I pick up no one answers, when I let it ring they leave no voicemail. This number calls every day, sometimes more than once.
I do not owe outstanding bills, so this is not a debt collector. My number is on the Do Not Call list and I've reported the harassing phone number to the FCC.
When I called AT&T to have the number blocked I was told I'd have to pay a $5 fee every month in order to block a phone number, in addition to the regular cost of service.
The cost of their service should INCLUDE protecting customers from harassment.
Help me persuade AT&T to change their policy by eliminating the pay-for-protection subscription program and to include customer protection by default.
