I was aghast to learn from Reuters that AT&T, my cellular and internet provider, had a key role in the creation of the false news network One American News (OAN).  OAN has repeatedly promoted statements and theories that were proven false.  The misinformation they have spread has lead to countless deaths from Covid, an insurrection at the Capitol, and the erosion of our democracy.  A large corporation like AT&T has no business bankrolling a network that spreads misinformation as news.  

I call on the AT&T CEO John Stankey and the AT&T Board to immediately cease support for OAN  and fire executives that had a role in funneling corporate money into such an investment. 

To be clear, I have no problem with a new conservative news network, but when that "news" network proceeds to push false fake propaganda that eventually leads to an insurrection, instead of fact-checked news, a Fortune 500 socially responsible company should have no business supporting such an endeavor.  Please cease ties immediately or your customers will have no choice but to cease ties with AT&T.
