Tail docking, ear cropping and dew claw removal should be an owner's choice. This is another example where the government is overreaching its bounds where it doesn't belong. We are not a free country anymore.

Hunting dog breeds that have a docked-tail as a breed standard should be able to have it performed. Docking tails prevents damage in the field. It is a practical reason, not cosmetic!

It is total animal abuse and if they were meant to look like that, they would already without the literal WANT (not need) to cut them to LOOK that way. Same with declawing cats!!

I strongly disagree with the mutilation of dogs ie tail docking and ear cropping just to make a dog look a certain way. Its cruel and the puppies do suffer. My breeder just said sometimes the puppies cry for hours. They were born a certain way and that's how they were meant to be!

I am a breeder of toy fox terriers. I can tell you that puppies complain more about being held still than they do when their tails and dew claws are snipped.

Theese Breeds are naturally born with Beautiful ears and long Tail! Not let suffer them with cuts legal!

Do gooders don't realize that we dock tails and ears for a medical reason. Ears that hang Down are way more likely to get yeast infections because they do not get enough air circulation to keep them dry. Many dogs with undocked tails break their tails simply by wagging them to hard and banging them into hard objects, especially those with short hair. No padding on tail.

To preserve the traditional use and health of the breeds, who are now docked. Should be breeders choice.
