Increase Cardiff University Postgraduate Library Loan Allowance

Currently, Postgraduate students are only allowed a maximum of 15 books on loan from Cardiff University Libraries. This is nowhere near enough.
I am a Taught MA English Literature student studying full time. Currently, this means that I am researching three modules. If I divide my library loan allowance into three, I have five books allotted per module. One of these modules is a 20,000 word dissertation. I cannot comprehend how I am supposed to sufficiently research a high quality paper with such a low allotment of five books. My proposal for the dissertation alone should contain a bibliography of 10 preliminary pieces of criticism.
The loan limitation is also the same amount for undergraduate students. This means that the library and the university are both suggesting that postgraduate students should be studying the same amount and to the same level as undergraduates. This is clearly a huge error.
We have previously requested to raise the maximum loan amount from the library, but have been denied. We are not sure why this is the case as the library has not made it explicit. Therefore, I have been forced to make a petition to show how seriously the students of ENCAP and other schools are affected by this limitation.
Please reconsider your book allowance and raise the amount postgraduates can loan from the library so we can study effectively and to the best of our abilities.
