"HUM APNA ADHIKAR MANGTEIN, NAHI KISI SE BHEEK MANGTEIN"

It is fact that Bodos of Assam has always fought for their rights since Indian Independence starting from Language Movement to Bodoland Movement. With lots of sacrifices today Bodo Language is recognized as one of the 22nd Schedule Official Language of India included in 8th Schedule of Indian Constitution via 92nd Constitutional Amendment 2003. Bodo language is mostly spoken in Assam and some parts of West Bengal, Meghalaya & Nepal. Bodo Language is also the Second Official Language of Assam And Official Language of Bodoland Territorial Council and adopted as Modern Indian Language by Gauhati University in 1996 and since 1963 Bodo language became the medium of instruction. Bodos have been using Devanagari Script since 1975. I would also like to enlighten you that the study of Bodo Literature is also inducted in M.A. level in Gauhati University for the first time. The commissions like UPSC and APSC has also included Bodo Language to their domain as one of the language paper. But it is shocking that CBSE has not included Bodo language in their domain of language paper depriving aspiring Bodo Students from their Constitutional Rights year after another leading to the mass protest by Bodo students in different parts of Assam.

Therefore, I would like to request Assam Government, PMO, #ShriPrakashJavedkar, MHRD, and CBSE to include Bodo Language as one of the Language Paper for CTET examination, so that many aspiring Bodo Students can compete in the said examination in their own language to serve the nation as a responsible and qualified teacher in future.

Please sign my petition, so that it reaches the concerned authorities like PMO, MHRD, Assam Government & CBSE. Bodo Community shall remain grateful for your kind support.

Thank You.
