Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition characterized by widespread chronic pain, fatigue, unrefreshed sleep, brain fog, and the cause is unknown. Approximately 4-12 million people in the United States live with it but numbers are growing. It affects women, men anf children of all ages. Public health agencies are very aware of the poor quality of life and lack of treatment options available. Right now there is not enough funding to adequately support those with this debilitating painful chronic Illness, without adequate funding. Fibromyalgia has left patients in pain, and broken for years. If we win, Congress's Appropriation Committee would appropriate funds would possibly find a cure, improve the standard of care and living with Fibro patients, and develop more medical treatment options.
