Amazon has once again been forced to remove a product due to a glaring racist description.  This time Amazon pulled an African American doll from their site due to a racist description about the doll’s hair. As a minority and a woman, I am offended by the description of a black hairstyle as “dirty”.  I appreciate Amazon taking down the listing.  Now it’s time for Amazon to be proactiveI!  To go a step further and donate multi-ethnic toys to programs that give low income and/or sick children toys at Christmas and throughout the year.  I would also like Amazon to create a diversity division that checks product descriptions prior to them being placed online.  Apologies mean very little when a company this large and in so many neighborhoods, continues to repeat the same hurtful actions!
