Ask the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles to Boycott a White House Visit

Over the past year, many athletes have opted to turn down and boycott the traditional invitation to visit the White House following a championship victory, due to the actions and words of Donald Trump.
The Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles have an opportunity to become the first team to boycott the White House as a whole. Trump spent the entire 2017 NFL season berating the league and insulting its players, calling them "S.O.B.s," raging about the peaceful protests during the National Anthem and letting Mike Pence waste taxpayer dollars to turn a brief visit to a Colts game into a political stunt. Mere days after the Super Bowl, he used the tragic death of Edwin Jackson into a prop to further his anti-immigrant rhetoric.
Multiple members of the Eagles spent the season standing up for their beliefs, most notably Malcolm Jenkins and Chris Long. A few members of the team have already stated they will not visit the White House, but a complete boycott would send a strong message to the country: we reject the Trump Administration's actions, we support our peers in the NFL and we stand against hatred.
