Ask the Houston Texans to make an "It Gets Better" video

San Francisco Giants committed to become the very first team in professional sports to make an "It Gets Better" video. They understand that when homophobia rears its ugly head ... we stand to lose our loved ones through suicide.

It's very difficult to track a silent target and stop it before it leads to a detrimentally devastating outcome. So the best way to solve this problem is to blanket the affected areas with understanding, support and caring.

Being that one incident happened practically in the Houston Texans own neighborhood, where a thirteen year old boy, tragically committed suicide because of aggressive bullying. Unfortunately, he found no way out. As good neighbors, we should wall endeavor to help others to understand that the future can be a brighter place, that there may not be an immediate way out ... there still is a way through.

Really, it does ... It gets better.

It's very difficult to track a silent target and stop it before it leads to a detrimentally devastating outcome. So the best way to solve this problem is to blanket the affected areas with understanding, support and caring. Homophobia is so rampant that not one male player in the four major American pro sports has come out as gay. Worse, behavior modeled by the pros can trickle down to all levels of youth. The Giants' willingness to make an anti-bullying video signals that we may be at the precipus of change and acceptance.
