Petitioning c/o Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Members of the National Assembly of Pakistan and 2 others

Ask the National Assembly of Pakistan to amend the constitution to give equal rights to tribal citizens in FATA

Citizens of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) deserve equal rights. Citizens of FATA deserve to be treated the same as all other citizens of Pakistan. FATA citizens deserve equal human, political and fundamental constitutional rights. Article 247 of the Constitution of Pakistan denies FATA citizens from enjoying the same rights as other Pakistanis. Only the National Assembly has the power to amend the constitution and correct this injustice. Members of the National Assembly should act today to amend Article 247 and provide equal rights to tribal citizens.

Letter to
c/o Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Members of the National Assembly of Pakistan
Agent of the President for FATA Governor Sardar Mehtab Abbasi
Political Parties Joint Committee on FATA Reforms FATA Committee
Due to the provisions in Article 247 of the Constitution of Pakistan, fundamental rights, access to justice and authentic representation in parliament are denied to the people of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).

People in the tribal areas are also citizens of Pakistan and deserve to be treated fairly and equally with the rest of the country.

Please amend Article 247 of the Constitution to guarantee equal fundamental rights for all citizens of the FATA.
