Asda Take Ownership of Filling Up Free Units at Blantyre Clydeview Shopping Centre

Blantyre Clydeview Shopping Centre has became very desolate and run down over the years with a substantial amount of businesses opening and closing soon after due to high rates and demands from Asda who own many of the units. Asda do not seem to care if they lie empty so they have control over the shopping demands of the residents. When any business opens offering a bit of competition, they also make it more difficult for them (e.g. there used to be a Pound shop so Asda started a pound aisle to compete until it went out of business and then Asda stopped it again!). It is wrong that Asda is allowed to make our town look run down and make it difficult for potential local business owners to start up a business. Blantyre residents need to take back ownership of our wee town and make Asda realise this is totally unacceptable.
