Gemma Smith started this petition to Asda (chadderton)

People in and around chadderton have for many months even years now been subjected to harassment, anti social behaviour and beggars. The people that sit outside the store are NOT HOMELESS and are well known around chadderton, many people usually the elderly and themselves vulnerable give to these people encouraging more to come, they now have a team and early in the evening the drug dealers usually call by collect the days takings and give them what they require.

during COVID-19 people are forced by Asda to social distance but cannot keep a minimum of 2mtrs when entering and exiting the store as the beggars sit directly in your path. On many occasion people have complained to staff and security at Asda and nothing happens, the staff seem to actively encourage them to come to the store. Colleagues seen laughing and joking with them, even giving them marked down food (which is discarded by them)  they are not homeless and taking from those that are genuinely in need of help.
Customers are fed up and nobody is listening, the police are too busy so I am going to send this to Asda head office and make the (chadderton) store be more pro active in keeping the outside of thier store safe for customers and not made to feel uneasy when approached by strangers asking for money.
