For 30+ years, Annapolis Soccer Club remained stagnant. The only reason it has been around for so long is because of its membership. Most recently, Corey Childs and his amazing network of volunteers and paid staff (e.g., junior refs) have propelled this club to a new and improved level. Unfortunately, the Board of Directors has succeeded to stifle the growth and recently derailed all efforts of progression for the club. What is even more unfortunate is that the Board is comprised of individuals who have no clue what the membership even wants. Not a single one of them has been out to the fields to support any of the club's efforts nor to see all the positive changes. Additionally, not a single one of them did anything to ensure the club kept running amidst a pandemic. There have been several individuals who have attempted to improve the club's governance structure, to no avail. What I think is needed now is a full upheaval of all of the Board of Directors to be replaced with those who have the skillset to actively participate on a non-profit board and, more importantly, to support the new and improved programs, processes, and procedures for which our membership has been wanting and is now seeing. We the membership are Annapolis Soccer Club, not some ignorant group of individuals who have done nothing to further the interests of this club.

Join me in vehemently forcing the removal of:

Lysa Gorgen (her kids play for Maryland Rush; minimal effort and input as a board member and general volunteer)

Halema Baxter (one of her kids plays on Tim DeWitt's team and another kid plays in the Rec+ program, which hypocritically was a major issue of the Board)

Tim Dewitt (President of Maryland Rush; has not had any direct ties to ASC in over a decade; is the leader of the pack and has suppressed ASC growth; many instances that he and Rush have promised to provide to ASC but failed to deliver)

David English (his daughters play for Broadneck and he coaches for Broadneck; his older daughter played for Maryland Rush but they couldn't field a team in her age group so they left Rush)
